The Archeological Center, a part of the Department of Anthropology, studies the archaeological resources of the eastern Great Plains and the northern Colorado Plateau and provides opportunities for student participation in research. The bulk of the excavations were conducted under the leadership of Jesse D. Jennings. The data and artifacts collected by the Center are in the custody of the Museum of Natural History.
