Summary Description
Abstract: The Francis Asbury Hammond Papers (1852-1865) contain transcripts of the personal diaries of Francis Asbury Hammond (1822-1900) during his years as a Mormon missionary in the Sandwich Islands (present day Hawaii). The diaries touch on the day-to-day issues pertaining to a Mormon missionary of the time. Hammond went on to be president of the San Juan Stake of the LDS Church from 1884 to 1900.
